Job Description
Foreign Teaching Positions:
-
Work assignments may vary based on position and school, and may be slightly altered over time
-
Work a minimum 40 hours per week, 25 of which are dedicated to teaching in the classroom
-
Serve as the English Immersion classroom teacher for assigned grade level(s).

Develop curriculum and teach subjects, such as English language arts, social studies, science, arts and P.E.
-
Develop unit plans, lesson plans and instructional materials
-
Provide individual and small group instruction to adapt the curriculum to the needs of each student
-
Ability to conduct formative, thorough assessments of students and provide ongoing and meaningful feedback
-
Observe other international and Chinese teachers' classes and submit observation reports
-
Submit students’ transcripts and evaluations to the administration office by the end of each semester and perform other related duties as assigned

Job Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution/university plus 2 years of teaching experience OR teacher certification OR TEFL certification

Education majors - no other requirements necessary

Valid elementary education license issued by the Department of Education in any state in the
U.S., preferred

Fluency in English language and a strong understanding of the American culture and educational system

Ability to collaborate and work as part of a team
-
Positive working attitude and cross-cultural competence
-
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
-
Capacity to provide musical instrument, team sports and performing arts instruction, welcomed
Salary & Benefits

Competitive salary is commensurate with experience, subject taught and position requirements. A pay increase based on additional years of tenure with school system may be provided.

Fees for residential permits and any other necessary certificates required to teach in China
